Good food at a reasonable price

Stayed there in my camper van it has a large car park .My wife and I had lunch which was excellent. We then went for a walk down the village which is a quirt beautiful village with at least 2 more pubs. We arranged to meet friends for evening meal which was excellent value for money. The ales were good and the staff and owner were very friendly an excellent pub.

Truly scrumptious Sunday lunch

After a 6.5 mile walk we were so ready for our Sunday lunch. We’d booked a table and told the lovely lady we spoke to that we’d be with our little dog so we were seated in a lovely snug area by the kitchen. He website for the pub doesn’t do it justice, it is utterly charming and we received a lovely warm welcome. We both had the beef dinner which was generous and absolutely delicious. Very finely sliced beef that melted in the mouth, roast and mashed potatoes (and a roast parsnip) a side dish of veg and a boat of gravy. We were even asked if winnie would like some beef for himself!!! As it was he shared mine (along with some cabbage and carrots) so he didn’t miss out. We’ve really made an effort to get out and about for our Sunday walks and Abbots Bromley is very close to home for us but hubby had yet again picked a real gem of a pub. It had three veggie main choices (unheard of) and the service was just lovely; friendly but not overboard. well worth a drive out, a truly wonderful country pub

Evening meal

We visited the coach and horses with friends And I can highly recommend this pub for dining out the food was excellent and the service was second to none we will definitely be calling in again.

The LFC walking group

After a lovely walk around parts of the Blithfield Reservoir, we headed off the the Coach and Horses. As it was Tuesday they have the special curry menu and the lunch menu which has 2 courses for £8 or 3 for £10. As there was 10 of us we made choices from the two menus and everyone was very pleased with their meals. The curries were tasty and accompanied with Nans, the fish pie chosen by 4 of us was delicious as was the Gammon and the Cottage pie. The desserts chosen were either the Spotted Dick or the Jam Roly-Poly both bathed in proper custard. A most enjoyable meal served by pleasant and efficient staff in a relaxing place
